How did I get here?
I never set out to work in marketing. Honestly, I used to think it was a little scummy. However, that changed when I joined the marketing department of a global nonprofit. I saw the power of a well-crafted story: how one earnest email could lead to a child in need receiving a meal or how a thoughtful Instagram presence could connect a generous donor to a cause that changed their life as much as it changed someone else’s.
This experience made me realize the marketing is really about connection.
It’s the art of crafting and placing a message that resonates with the right person at the right time. For mission-driven organizations, marketing isn’t about selling—it’s about sharing something meaningful with the people who care most.

Outside of work, I’m usually hiking, reading, traveling, or spending time with my husband and family. I’m a lifelong learner, usually with several books going at once, and an avid one-bag traveler who does her best thinking in airports.
